Family Day Care Services in Cairns: Why Childs World Gives Families Confidence
Choosing Family Day Care Services in Cairns is one of the most significant decisions a parent will make. At Childs World Early Learning Centres in Bentley Park, we understand that trust, warmth, and a genuine commitment to each child's growth are the foundations every family deserves. Find us on Google Maps and see why local families have been choosing us for over 30 years.
Why Cairns Families Trust Our Family Day Care Services
Trust is built on facts, not promises. Childs World was established in 1993 and is owned and operated by a local Cairns family with more than 30 years in early childhood education. We are the first provider in Australia to operate four modern Early Learning Centres from a single location, each fully accredited and licensed under Queensland's National Quality Standards. Our Director of Operations holds an Advanced Diploma in Children's Services and has been part of the Childs World team since the very beginning. Every educator holds a minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, and all staff carry current Blue Cards, First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates. These credentials are not background details; they are the daily assurance that your child is in qualified, caring hands.
Our AUSTSWIM gold-accredited swim school, recognised at that standard since 2013, adds a layer of safety education that few providers in the region can match.
Our Services: Care From 6 Weeks to School Age
Our Family Day Care Services cover every stage of early childhood. Each of our four centres offers five separate, age-specific rooms, so children are always with peers at a similar developmental stage. Our programmes include:
- Nursery care from 6 weeks old.
- Kindergarten and Pre-School for 4 to 5 year olds, including a Free Kindy Program funded by the Queensland Government.
- Before and After School Care (OSHC) for school-aged children.
- Vacation Care programmes during school holidays.
- Optional swimming lessons at our on-site AUSTSWIM gold-accredited swim school.
All centres operate Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 6:30pm, giving working families the flexibility they need. As a trusted family daycare provider, we also offer bus transport services to and from local schools, making the school-day transition straightforward for busy families.
Our curriculum is grounded in the Early Years Learning Framework and guided by our philosophy of learning through play. We believe curiosity, cooperation, confidence, and imagination are not extras; they are the core dispositions that support every child's long-term development under the framework of Belonging, Being and Becoming.
How the Enrolment Process Works
Starting with our Family Day Care Services is a straightforward three-step process.
- Enquire or book a tour. Contact us on (07) 4847 5910 or visit our Enrolments page to register your interest. Places are limited, so early enquiry is encouraged.
- Attend a playdate. We invite your child to visit the centre before their first official day. This lets them meet their educators, explore the room, and settle in at their own pace, which reflects our commitment to respectful, child-led transitions.
- Complete your enrolment paperwork. This includes your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) details via Centrelink, your child's current Immunisation History Statement, and any relevant Medical Management Plans. Our team guides you through every form.
